Greedy Crocodiles

One of those people that annoys me the most are those corrupt politicians. I hate them for being too blinded with money and power. They often believe that they can do anything they want as long as they have the title and position. They are all demagogues wanting to risk our government’s sake just for their lavish and wealthy life. They have been controlling us since the day they had been elected. They are like crocodiles preying on us. People have been gullible idiots to trust them enough to put them on their position. What disgust me the most is that instead of helping and fulfilling what they had promised to the people, they have been secretly doing graft and corruption for the sake of their personal desires. How much a politician earns?  Maybe not enough to buy a lot of luxury cars and huge mansions.

Where did they get these handful of money? I think I don’t need to answer that. We already knew. While they are enjoying their expensive vacations in and outside the country, many poor Filipinos are struggling with their everyday living. These politicians are very greedy when it comes to stealing the money of the people.  We can’t taste total freedom if we are too blinded as well with what they are doing in the government. Our country had been facing a lot of issues like poverty, low unemployment rate, lack of facilities, unfair justice system etc. yet we can’t still see and feel that there is someone making actions to address all of it. For example, the P10B pork barrel of Janet Napoles can already be a big help to those Filipinos wanting to make their lives improve. The problem is that the money had been stolen served as the kickbacks to the politicians as well as the senators. What’s happening with our government? Do we still have trust?

As we ponder on what’s happening inside our government, let us use our minds to think logical and right. The 2016 National Election is coming and this is the time we can correct our past mistakes. We should be scrupulous in choosing right leaders. We shouldn’t trust immediately for every benign faces they have, lies a scheming mind filled with personal desires. We can’t let ourselves suffer again by choosing wrong leaders. Let us make ourselves free from the sharp fangs of the predators. As what Mahatma Gandhi said, we should be the change that we want to see in the future. Our futures lies in our hands and let us not ruin it by making the wrong move. We should believe that corruption has no place in our government. Let us make our country a better place to live.
